Obtuse, owned by Cape Town based designer Lynne Avis, finds elegance with a playful edge. Each piece lovingly made by hand, is an affirmation of shared aesthetics and portrayal of self. With her background in Fine Art, Lynne is drawn to jewellery’s intimate relationship with the body, your body. Believing that bigger is better, her pieces are a sensual statement, enticing to both eye and touch.

She creates ‘acutely particular’ jewellery designed for the stylish wo/man.

Seeing her vision and creativity showcased by those who wear her pieces is what keeps her inspired and fired to keep on creating.

Lynne has studied abroad at the University of Hertfordshire in London, worked under the conceptual German jewellery designer Katrin Spranger and was chosen as an Emerging Creative of 2016.
